INTRODUCTION:
In the near future, the crash zones of speed crafts especially the automotive vehicles can be replaced by the Impact Energy Dissipation Device (IEDD).
Until now, the crash zones rely mainly on their own structural strength. The structural strength of the vehicle itself is not sufficient to absorb all the crash energy in a high speed crash. With the present innovation, vehicles crash zones are assisted to resist many times more impact forces then it original ability.

This concept was originally designed for the aerospace industry because of its long felt need to prevent speed crafts from catastrophic failure at high-speed collision. The conditions of crashes cause by the impact, parts detachment and twisted metals mingled within occupants found at the front of the airplane at crash site were devastating.
At impact the forces exerted usually ripped off almost anything including part of the fuselage structures. There were incidents where the attachment parts at the rear and tail sections of the aircraft were found in the front cockpit region together with the human remains. One can imagine what the intensity of the impact forces were like. The IEDD is designed particularly to deal with this kind of devastation.
As a whole, the Impact Energy Dissipation Device provides a new level of safety by focusing on one primary purpose that is to prevent the fatal crash energy to pass onto both the crash worthy structure and its occupants.

SUMMARY OF THE INNOVATIVE SOLUTION:
Above is a sketch of a concept car that has the system incorporated. The front and the rear crash zones are mounted with the IEDD, the frame of the vehicle is independently isolated from the chassis and the occupant’s seats are mounted with crash inertia fitting to provide an independent protection against the impulse forces.

Three tests were made on the device using different crash magnitude on each test and all the test results remain constant:

The heart of the invention is its ability to regulate the amount of impact energy to pass through. As you may notice, the forces received from the 3 different tests are within 1305 to 1449.5N. This shows that the energy dissipated by the device is contained and even consistent. In this test model, the test device is regulated to transmit within a specific impact force_ in this case to protect a raw egg from breaking.
The system as introduced also helps to minimize the g-forces. In the normal situation the g-forces resulted from the crashes alone do kill the occupants when it reaches beyond human tolerance. This condition is often gone unnoticed when the occupants suffer serious injuries.
Although nobody can ensure road safety but it is a transgression not to provide safer vehicles for the ignorant users.
